Record Description

This collection of miscellaneous records from the years 1816-1911 includes copies of original records retained at the Arquivo Distrital de Portalegre, Portugal. Civil registration records of birth, legitimization, marriage, and death can all be found among these records, as well as passports and deaths records from the Santa Casa da Misericórdia in Portalegre.

To search the collection you will need to follow this series of links:

Look at the images one by one comparing the information with what you already know about your ancestors to determine which one is your ancestor. You may need to compare the information about more than one person to make this determination.
