Brief History

The 13th Regiment, Ohio Cavalry mustered in May 5, 1864. They were mustered out August 10, 1865 at Amelia and Powhatan Counties.[1] Men from the 4th Independent Battalion, Ohio Cavalry and the5th Independent Battalion, Ohio Cavalry (6 months, 1863-64) joined the 13th Regiment.[2]
