Projects
Each Waypointing project is assigned a difficulty level. The descriptions below outline the different criteria used to assign a level to a project. Please note that only one of the criteria listed is necessary to make a project fit a level. For example, a project will be Moderate if it takes thirty to sixty minutes to complete, even if there is no language requirement for the project.
Simple projects generally have twenty-five or fewer individual waypoints per folder. The records have legible handwriting, the Consolidated Form requires few judgment calls, and the project is easy to do regardless of the language. These folders should be completed in five to ten minutes.
Easy projects usually have twenty-five to fifty waypoints per folder, and may have more judgment calls. The handwriting is legible, but some limited familiarity with the language is helpful, though not required. These folders could take ten to thirty minutes to complete.
Moderate projects can have fifty to eighty waypoints per folder, and more difficult judgment calls. Fluency in the language is helpful. These folders can take between thirty and sixty minutes to complete.
Difficult projects may have eighty or more waypoints per folder, and require familiarity with the records to make appropriate judgment calls on treating the records. Fluency in the language is required, and folders can take over an hour each to complete.
