As a minority religion practiced by 11,000 people in Sweden, Hinduism was introduced within the country around 1950.[3]

In 2017, there were 170,915 registered Islamic congregations in Sweden. Findings by archaeologists have shown contact between Islam and the Vikings dating back to the 7th-10th centryies.[4]
