Class Reminders for the Payson FamilySearch Center

We offer a variety of classes each month taught by amazing presenters. There just might be one listed below that you’ve been waiting for. Check it out; there’s no sign-up necessary.

Tuesday, June 18, 10:30 am, Kristy Bloomer will be the instructor for her “Workshop: Write!” If you are interested, Kristy will make this workshop well worth your time. She is the Director of the Payson FamilySearch Center along with her husband, and she is fun to be with. If you would like to upload a memory to FamilySearch and write a paragraph about it or record a memory with a photo, come prepared by bringing some photos or using them from your phone. If you would like to share and talk about your photos, we will have time to do that as well. Whether you want to just visit the class to learn or be actively involved, everyone is welcome. This workshop will not be zoomed.

Vamos a aprender a agregar personal al árbol de FamilySearch, editar su información, sus relaciones y a arreglar errores. Esta clase se imparte en persona y online. (dura 1 hora).
Thursday, June 20, 7:00 pm, Troy Mohrman will be teaching “Finding Hidden Gems at the FamilySearch Center.” This helpful class could be the answer to some of your family history questions. There could be great information right at your fingertips; you just need to know where to find it. With his expertise, Troy will give you the necessary clues to find hidden treasures for your research. Troy will make this class enjoyable and informative. If you can attend, you will be glad you did!

-Tuesday, January 23, 10:30 am, Rose Nyman will be teaching “Fun with Photos Using My Heritage.” Rose is an artist and photographer. You will be amazed at the beautiful ways she portrays her family through her paintings and pictures. Come learn how you can turn your photos into lasting, treasured memories. Rose is the Temple and Family History Leader for her Ward and works at the FamilySearch Center.

-Thursday, January 25, 6:00 pm, Olivia Jewell will be teaching “Using the Marco Polo App for Family History.” The purpose of Marco Polo is helping people feel close. What a great way to learn more about deceased ancestors through existing family while becoming closer to them as well. Olivia is the founder of the Family Connections Experiment, a project focused on connecting families past and present and measuring the psychological benefits of increasing those connections. She is a professional presenter for genealogy and other educational conferences and her technological experience will simplify your learning about Marco Polo and how it can benefit your family history.
-Thursday, January 25, 7:30 pm, Shelly Strand/Shaunese Luthy always have an interesting aspect of family history to teach. They both have degrees in family history and genealogy. Come and get your personal questions answered and assistance with your family search from these professional genealogists. If you join them, you will learn the most efficient way to research your family.
