Class Reminders for the Payson FamilySearch Center
We offer a variety of classes each month taught by amazing presenters. There just might be one listed below that you’ve been waiting for. Check it out; there’s no sign-up necessary.

Tuesday, June 18, 10:30 am, Kristy Bloomer will be the instructor for her “Workshop: Write!” If you are interested, Kristy will make this workshop well worth your time. She is the Director of the Payson FamilySearch Center along with her husband, and she is fun to be with. If you would like to upload a memory to FamilySearch and write a paragraph about it or record a memory with a photo, come prepared by bringing some photos or using them from your phone. If you would like to share and talk about your photos, we will have time to do that as well. Whether you want to just visit the class to learn or be actively involved, everyone is welcome. This workshop will not be zoomed.
Martes, 18 de Junio @ 6:00 pm - “Editando el árbol” por Ines Coles La propuesta de FamilySearch es que cada persona que nació en esta tierra tenga un perfil en el gran árbol de la humanidad. Vamos a aprender a agregar personal al árbol de FamilySearch, editar su información, sus relaciones y a arreglar errores. Esta clase se imparte en persona y online. (dura 1 hora).
Thursday, June 20, 7:00 pm, Troy Mohrman will be teaching “Finding Hidden Gems at the FamilySearch Center.” This helpful class could be the answer to some of your family history questions. There could be great information right at your fingertips; you just need to know where to find it. With his expertise, Troy will give you the necessary clues to find hidden treasures for your research. Troy will make this class enjoyable and informative. If you can attend, you will be glad you did!

-Tuesday, October 10th at 10:30 am, Rose Nyman will be teaching “Utah Digital Newspapers, Newspaper.com, and Newspaper Archive.” Rose is a talented artist and photographer with a love of Family History. Come and learn how newspapers can enhance and enrich your family’s story and help you find ancestors, too. Newspapers are a great source that will help you find details and family members you might not otherwise find.
-Wednesday, October 11th at 1:00 pm, Virginia Temple will be teaching, “PART 2: RootsMagic.”
-RootsMagic is a liaison between FamilySearch and Ancestry. Virginia serves in her Ward and at the FamilySearch Center, as a consultant. As a seasoned researcher and genealogist, she will show you how much RootsMagic can help you with your family history work.
-Thursday, October 12th at 6 pm, Shaunese Luthy will be teaching “You Don’t Have to Wander Around the Cemetery to Find Someone.” This class will discuss how to find graves in cemeteries using the sexton record office and the cemetery maps. We will also discuss how to find the graves if there is not a sexton record office available.  Shaunese has her degree in Family History and Genealogy from Brigham Young University. She runs her own Genealogy business.  This is a great time of year to learn about cemeteries!
-Thursday, October 12th at 7:30 pm, Shelly Strand, will be teaching “Researching Your Family”.

-Saturday, October 14th at 10:30 am Shaunese Luthy will be teaching “How US and State Census Records Go Hand In Hand.” Census records give you valuable information about your family. Come and learn from Shaunese, a genealogist, how both types of census records have a lot of information we can glean to help us in our research.
