Tuesday, September 19th at 10:30 am, Dennis Ransom will be teaching “England’s BMD & Christening Records.Dennis, from an early age, has had a great interest in Temple and Family History Work. He has organized Family Reunions and has done a lot of research in British and Early American Records. He has served as a Family Search Center consultant for over 10 years. Do you need help searching for relatives in England? Dennis will show you ways to find and search the BMD (birth, marriage, and death records), and the christening records in England.

Wednesday, September 20th at 1:30 pm, 7:30 pm  Glenn Whicker will be teaching “Defining Your Digital Legacy.” What is your plan to keep your precious photos and important documents accessible for your posterity after you pass away?  Come and learn tried and true techniques to answer these important questions. Glenn Whicker is a records preservation missionary at our FamilySearch Center. 
Tuesday, June 18, 10:30 am, Kristy Bloomer will be the instructor for her “Workshop: Write!If you are interested, Kristy will make this workshop well worth your time. She is the Director of the Payson FamilySearch Center along with her husband, and she is fun to be with. If you would like to upload a memory to FamilySearch and write a paragraph about it or record a memory with a photo, come prepared by bringing some photos or using them from your phone. If you would like to share and talk about your photos, we will have time to do that as well. Whether you want to just visit the class to learn or be actively involved, everyone is welcome.
 
This workshop will not be zoomed.  
Thursday, September 21st at 6:30 pm, Van Celaya will be teaching “FamilySearch: Time is of the Essence.”  Elder Celaya worked for a major technology company for over 35 years. He has been doing genealogy since the age of 12 and has taught family history to over 53,000 people. Van works for BYU as an instructor and teaches webinars to people all over the world. Most people do not have hours to search for things on FamilySearch. Van Celaya will show you fast and accurate ways to do research on FamilySearch. It will save you time and produce the results you need.

Thursday, September 21st at 7:30 pm, Shelly Strand will be teaching “Researching Your Family” in the computer room. This is a hands-on class. Shelly will share resources to assist you in your search for family records. Shelly just finished her bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in Family History Research. This week, we will focus on using FamilySearch’s Record Finder. Learn about this tool that directs you to record types and collections that could have the information that answers your research questions.

There could be great information right at your fingertips; you just need to know where to find it. With his expertise, Troy will give you the necessary clues to find hidden treasures for your research. Troy will make this class enjoyable and informative. If you can attend, you will be glad you did!


Saturday, September 23rd at 10:30 am, Kristy Bloomer will be teaching “A Tutorial Through FamilySearch-Everything You Might Not Know”. FamilySearch is always improving and adding new things to help find our family. Kristy and her husband are the directors at our center. They have served a mission at the FamilySearch Center in Salt Lake City. Kristy will show you tricks that you might have missed, things that are new,  and helpful hints in navigating FamilySearch.
