Brief History[edit | edit source]
The 47th Regiment, Ohio Infantry mustered in August 13, 1861 at Camp Dennison, Ohio. They were mustered out August 11, 1865 at Little Rock, Arkansas.[1] The regiment was also kown as the Wilstach Regiment after Charles F. Wilstach who was a major influence in the organization of the regiment.[2]
