Preparing for Your Scanning Visit.

  • Please be on time for your visit. If you are 20 minutes late, your time slot may be assigned to another patron.
If you know you will be late, call our Welcome Desk at (801) 489-2956 and let them know when you expect to arrive.
  • Keep the confirmation email you will receive in case you need to cancel or reschedule your visit.
  • Sort your photos by size facing the same direction for high-speed photo scan auto feed feature.
  • Clean the front and back of your photos by wiping with a clean micro-fiber cloth to remove dust and dirt.
  • Remove any tape, stickers, or sticky spots on the front or back. If they can’t be removed, you will need to use the flatbed scanner.
  • Bring a USB drive for your scanned files. We recommend a 16 GB to a maximum of 128 GB. A version 3.0 USB is preferred for much faster transfer speeds.
  • If you have questions about our equipment, click the “Expand to View Specifications and Capabilities” link at the bottom of each section.
  • Our staff will train you on using our equipment and will be available for help and assistance during your visit.

The Springville FamilySearch Center serves 11 stakes and the community. Please be considerate of others when making your reservations.
