Collection DescriptionThe KDHE Office of Vital Statistics has births, stillbirths, and deaths since 1911; marriages since 1913; and divorce records since 1951.[3] For a fee they will issue copies only to immediate family members or their legal representatives. Currently, the Office of Vital Statistics does allow requests for genealogical research. Pre-1940 records may be requested by an individual related as at least a cousin. Post 1940 records must be requested by an immediate family member.[3] Alternate RepositoriesIf you cannot visit or find a source at the Kansas Department of Health and Environment, a similar source may be available at one of the following.
