Meetings
Board of Directors: meets on the 1st Thursday of the Month at the Society office located at 1500 North Frazier St, Conroe TX 77301 Starts at 7:00 pm. All paid members are invited to attend.
Regular Monthly Meeting: For now We also broadcast the meeting on Zoom app. the link is posted on the website. Meets on the second Thursday of each month in the Genealogy Society Offices at 1500 North Frazier St, Conroe TX 77301. directions Chats and snacks at 6:00 pm. Meeting at 7:00 pm. You need not be a member to attend.
Purpose
The purpose of this organization is to locate, research, record, preserve and publish genealogical and historical records, to promote public awareness of genealogy and knowledge of genealogical research through education, and to support the genealogy department of the Montgomery County Memorial Library, the official repository of all original records held by the Society.
Educate
The society meets monthly providing quality genealogical speakers, activities, and informative speakers from a variety of disciplines related to family history. These meetings are open to the general public as well as to members.
Support
The society raises funds to the acquisition of books and materials for the Genealogy Section of the Montgomery County Central Library. Society members volunteer at the library and donate to the Montgomery County Historical Association and The Heritage Museum of Montgomery County.
Collect and Preserve
Society has collected records of significance to Montgomery County. The Society has published these collected records which we have in our catalog We have recently begun to publish a quarterly newsletter. Persons who have a large genealogical research collection that the family has not wanted have donated for this society to preserve and make available to others to research.
