The official language in Liechtenstein is German:

  • Alemannic dialect - Spoken by most Liechtensteiners and is different from Standard German but closely related to dialects spoken in neighboring regions such as Switzerland and Vorarlberg, Austria
  • Walser German dialect - Spoken in Triesenberg
