The Ely Shoshone Tribe is located in White Pine County, and at three locations southeast and southwest of the city of Ely, Nevada.

Reservations

The Ely Shoshone Tribal Reservation was established on 28 September 1931 by Authority of the Act of 27 June 1930 (46 Stat. 820). Additional acreage was added in 1977[2].

The majority of records of individuals were those created by the agencies. Some records may be available to tribal members through the tribal headquarters.They were (and are) the local office of the Bureau of Indian Affairs, and were charged with maintaining records of the activities of those under their responsibility.
