*It is best to call ahead to reserve specific digitizing equipment. 
*You may reserve one piece of equipment for a 2 hour block.  If no one has reserved this same equipment after your reservation you may continue to use the equipment for 1 more hour or move to other available equipment.

*Preserve your stories, your faces, and your voices in our recording studio.
*The studio is designed with audio and video technology making it possible to store your experience on audio, mp4 or digital movie on a flash drive. The studio can hold a group of 10-15 persons.  Our microphones and lighting provide for a successful recording experience.  The studio is staged similar to a home family room, and the furnishing may be rearranged if desired.
*Using prepared interview questions helps the interviewee to focus on dates, places, events, and people which creates an invaluable oral history.

The Las Vegas FamilySearch Library '''Video Recording Studio'''is available to record your family's stories. Designed with audio and video technology for recording into audio and mp4, digital movies. The comfortable furnishings and decorations create an aura of the past ideal for recording personal histories. All our digital audio and video equipment has been programmed to make recording oral histories and interviews easy. Our qualified staff will provide all technical support for your recording session.
This equipment will convert old 8mm film and Super 8 film. Conversion time - A 3” in diameter film will  take approximately 45 minutes to convert. If you have 8mm or Hi8 Tape, convert using the Sony Handycam equipment.

This equipment will convert old 8mm film and Super 8 film. Conversion time - A 3” in diameter film will take approximately 45 minutes to convert. If you have 8mm or Hi8 Tape, convert using the Sony Handycam equipment.

NOTE One reservation is one machine for 2 hours. Smaller reels need a 2 hour reservation. Larger reels need 4 hours-2 reservations back to back.
