The county is named in honor of Charles N. Haskell who was the first governor of Oklahoma. Haskell County is located in the east-central area.[2]

Vital Records[edit | edit source]
Statewide registration of births and deaths began in 1908 in Oklahoma. Births records created 125 years ago and earlier and death records created 50 years ago and earlier are considered open records and can be obtained by qualifying individuals.
