==What are FamilySearch Genealogy Research Groups?== 
The FamilySearch regional research groups in the Community and on Facebook were created to be collaborative environments where individuals researching the same general location could help one another reach their family history goals through asking and answering questions, sharing helpful resources and information.  
FamilySearch Genealogy Research Groups are resources where individuals can post specific genealogical questions or translation requests regarding a country or region in the world. The community consists of individuals who wish to collaborate and help one another find answers.<br><br>

What are FamilySearch Genealogy Research Groups?

FamilySearch Genealogy Research Groups are resources where individuals can post specific genealogical questions or translation requests regarding a country or region in the world. The community consists of individuals who wish to collaborate and help one another find answers.

To find a research group, you can go to one of two places:
1. FamilySearch Community: found on the FamilySearch website. You must log in using your FamilySearch account to view and post questions. Click here to read about how to use this tool.
2. FamilySearch Facebook Groups: Facebook groups originally created by FamilySearch. You must have a Facebook account to view questions and "join" the group to post questions.
