Switzerland Census Data

Purpose

We've been asked by some specialists at the Family History Library to add some census information to the parish pages of Switzerland. This information will make it easier for patrons to know what censuses exist for ancestors in certain locations, and how to best access them.

Instructions

Step 1 - Pick a set of Parishes

1. Go to the Task List and sign up a parish page to fix.

2. Go to the first parish page in your respective span of pages.

Step 2 - Using information from the Excel Sheet

3. After signing up for a parish, locate it on the Excel Sheet.

4. Copy all content highlighted in Blue for your parish.

  • HINT: This can be done by clicking on the box "Census Year" in the Blue section, holding down your Shift key on the keyboard, and while still holding down the Shift key, clicking on the box diagonally across the blue area. The right-click in the Blue box and Copy the information (or Ctrl + C).That will select all the information.


5. Open the Excel2Wiki website in a new tab.

6. Paste the information you copied from the Excel Sheet into the space provided at the top of the Excel2Wiki site.

7. Click the blue Convert button. This will create WikiText underneath.
