He taught Physical Sciences and computer skills in the public schools for 30 years. While a student at BYU, and after graduation, he was a volunteer at the BYU Library and was involved in coordinating Sunday workshops and doing consultant training. He has taken many semester hours of genealogy classes at BYU and other locations. He has served for 11 years as a church service missionary at the Family History Library in Salt Lake City, and has served many years in the local family history center. Robert Kehrer worked for 12 years as a molecular geneticist identifying disease genes by building very large family pedigrees. He has an MBA and worked for 7 years at Apple managing strategic alliances and driving market strategy in the sciences. For the last 9 years Robert has worked for FamilySearch as a product manager in the Family History Library, overseeing the public APIs, and managing the development of FamilySearch.org beta. He is currently the senior product manager of search technologies, including the search sytems, hinting, the Sourcelinker attach tool and the historical records image viewer.  For years, (including 2016, he was a presenter at ROOTS TECH, Salt Lake City, Utah.

<nowiki> </nowiki>   Laryn joined Ancestry in 1998 as the first product manager, then went on to launch Ancestry.co.uk as the first international website with the Ancestry brand. Currently he is the product manager for emerging technologies in automated content recognition. Prior to his current assignment, Laryn worked as the head of international content partnership development, based in London. He also led the Content Operations team, the team that digitizes and indexes all of Ancestry’s historical records globally. Working in genealogy as a profession and a hobby, Laryn is actively involved in the genealogy community.  The threads of his own genealogy include English bricklayers, Canadian and Mohican homesteaders, Southern colonists, and Norwegian farmers.

Bret Petersen''' '''developed a love of family history research at a young age and it continued through his college years at Brigham Young University where he graduated with a degree in Journalism and a minor in Education.His interest in computers spurred him into professional training, support and management roles in various technology companies.  He served as Past President of the Utah Genealogical Association. He is a graduate of the National Institute on Genealogical Research and has completed courses at the Salt Lake Institute of Genealogy. As a member of the Genealogical Speakers Guild he has been a presenter and teacher for groups ranging from just a few to several hundred participants. He loves teaching and helping others learn all they can about using technology in researching their family history.
