| Prior to his current assignment, Laryn worked as the head of international content partnership development, based in London. He also led the Content Operations team, the team that digitizes and indexes all of Ancestry’s historical records globally.

| Working in genealogy as a profession and a hobby, Laryn is actively involved in the genealogy community. The threads of his own genealogy include English bricklayers, Canadian and Mohican homesteaders, Southern colonists, and Norwegian farmers.

| Brother Van Celaya is a Church Service Missionary who teaches Family History consulting at Riverton Family Search Library, Brigham Young University FHC, Stake Conferences, Youth Conferences, Family History Conferences, FH fairs for multiple stakes, Stake Centers via the internet to as far away as Hawaii, Family History Centers, and even individual Family Home Evenings. Since last February 2014, he has trained over 10,300 people in classroom situations doing family history. Students have enthusiastically acknowledged "how fast and accurate people can become if they follow the things he teaches them.”
