1775: Spanish encounter the Quinault tribe
1779: Spanish mission established
1820s: Epidemic kills many (malaria)
1850: Oregon Donation Land Act opened area to settlers
1855 July 1,
1856: Treaty created the Quinault Reservation
1873: Quinault Reservation enlarged
1892: United States government provided allotments on the Quinault Reservation
