Projekt Poznań, został wdrożony w celu stworzenia bazy danych zawartych małżeństw z całego Księstwa Poznańskiego (Posen), jednej z prowincji Prus Królewskich XIX wieku. W projekcie tym istnieje około 540 parafii, z terenu województwa poznańskiego. Wiosną 2009, baza danych zawierała około 60% całości materiału katolickich małżeństw zawartych w latach 1835 / 84 (i 25% materiału luterańskiego).

Przedział czasowy w latach 1835-1884 został wybrany nie przypadkowo, ale ze względów praktycznych, ponieważ w tych latach odnotowano nasilenie emigracji z prowincji poznańskiej. Still - baza danych może obejmować rejestr zawartych małżeństw od roku 1820 do roku 1889 r. i obejmuje obszary przyległe do prowincji poznańskiej.

The Poznań project was implemented in order to create a database of married couples from the entire Poznań Duchy (Posen), one of the royal provinces of Prussia of the 19th century. There are about 540 parishes in the project from the Poznań region. In the spring of 2009, the database contained about 60% of the total Catholic marriages of 1835/84 (and 25% of Lutheran material).The time line between 1835 and 1884 was not chosen accidentally, but for practical reasons, as in those years the intensity of emigration from the Poznan province was noted. Still - the database may include a register of marriages between 1820 and 1889 and covers areas adjacent to the Poznan province.
