  • 19th Century British Library Newspapers - This fully searchable database of the British Library's newspaper holdings provides a complete run of 48 national and regional Victorian British newspapers for the 19th century from 1800 to 1900. These support the study of colonial history, genealogical research, politics, urban studies, and media courses.
  • Alexander Street Press – The America Civil War
    • Research Data: Contains indexed, searchable information on over 4 million soldiers and thousands of battles, together with 15,000 photographs. The database has thousands of regimental rosters and officer profiles. It includes a record for virtually every soldier who served in the war. There are descriptions of thousands of battles, with detailed multi-page battle orders and reports for significant battles such as Shiloh, Antietam, and Gettysburg.
    • Letters and Diaries - Contains 2,009 authors and approximately 100,000 pages of diaries, letters and memoirs. It is indexed. Each source has been carefully chosen using leading bibliographies.
    • Images of the American Civil War - Provides a vivid visual history of a nation in crisis. Thousands of dramatic images from the fields of battle, the home front, politics, and general society. The database currently holds over 12,200 images.
    • Social and Cultural History - Personal accounts of well-known historical figures.

  • American Ancestors - Created by the New England Historic Genealogical Society (NEHGS), America's founding genealogical organization, American Ancestors is the portal to the nation's leading resource for the highest-quality, comprehensive family history services. Access millions of exclusive and sought-after records online. Explore the largest collection of original family history research materials in America.
  • Ancestry FamilySearch Library Edition – This site has 10+ billion records. Access to thousands of collections of records from around the world, including immigration, census, voter, vital, and military records; newspapers and periodicals; family trees; photos and images; directories, maps, court records, land records, wills and financial records, stories, memories, and histories; and detailed records about births, marriages, deaths, land ownership, and much more.
  • ArkivDigital Online – It is the largest private provider of Swedish Church Records and other historical records online! All images are newly photographed color images of the original documents.  
  • FamNet - The online Family history network for New Zealand roots.
  • Findmypast – Search indexes for England and Wales, parish registers, death duty registers, passport applications, passenger lists leaving UK, 1841 through 1911, censuses, and military records.
    • Search census records and trace births, marriages, and deaths to bring your family history to life. Please note that not all of the content from Findmypast is available in FamilySearch centers.
  • Fold 3 – The Fold3 name reflects military history and honor, since traditionally, the third fold in a flag-folding ceremony honors and remembers veterans for their sacrifice in defending their country and promoting peace in the world.
    • Search or browse millions of historical documents and photos. Fold3 has refocused their efforts on gathering the best online collection of military records and stories.
    • Resources cover colonial to mid-1900s US records. Includes some census records, vital records, photos, city directories, newspapers, town records, naturalizations, Revolutionary War records and Civil war and later military indexes, World War II "Old man's Draft" Cards, War of 1812 Pension Files, Mexican War Service Records, World War I. Officer Experience Reports, and Confederate Casualty Reports.
  • Geneanet - The first site dedicated to genealogy in France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Sweden, and Germany. The Geneanet community has 2 million members who exchange genealogical information.

  • Allen County Public Library Internet Site - Located in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The Fred J. Reynolds Historical Genealogy Collection is the second-largest genealogy collection in the United States[2] and the largest genealogy collection in a public library. Its holdings include more than 350,000 printed volumes and 513,000 items on microfilm and microfiche.
  • Newberry Library - Located in Chicago, Illinois. The Newberry is a private, non-circulating library free and open to the public. Collections include: 17,000 published genealogies of New England and colonial America, and British gentry and nobility. The library collects church, town, county, and state histories, from all parts of America, Canada, and the British Isles, including comprehensive New England town histories
  • Library of Congress - Located in Washington, D.C. The world's largest library, including 50,000 genealogies, 100,000 local histories. Rich in collections of manuscripts, microfilms, maps, newspapers, photographs, and published material, strong in North American, British Isles, and German sources. Also has incomparable royalty, nobility, and heraldry collections.
