These records include family group records compiled from Roman Catholic parish registers from Upper Austria. The original records are in the Oberösterreichischen Landesarchiv, Linz, Austria.

Austria is divided into 2 ecclesiastical provinces for the Roman Catholic Church: the ecclesiastical province of Salzburg and the ecclesiastical province of Vienna. The Diocese of Linz and other parishes in Upper Austria are part of the Vienna province. Up until the past few hundred years, religions were the most faithful in keeping vital records. When you copy information from a record, you should list where you found the information. This will help you or others to find the record again. It is also good to keep track of records where you did not find information, including the names of the people you looked for in the records.

A suggested format for keeping track of records that you have searched is found in the wiki article [[Help:How to Cite FamilySearch Collections]].
