This article describes the services and resources available at a FamilySearch Center, a branch facility of the FamilySearch Library.

The Lodi California FamilySearch Center is located in San Joaquin County, California, north of Stockton.

Open Hours: The Lodi California FamilySearch Center is now open again. Our current hours of operation are listed below. Please remember there is no eating of food or drink in the FamilySearch Center.

You may get help at home via your computer for your genealogy research, questions, guidelines for donations to the Salt Lake FamilySearch Library, on-line classes and on-line one-on-one help by typing "FamilySearch Library" in your computer browser search bar then click on the "FamilySearch Library - FamilySearch link or "Sacramento California FamilySearch Center" link and then click on the appropriate links to arrive at the help you desire.

Tuesday: 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM. The 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM time slot is open by appointment only. To schedule an appointment call 209-369-4148, speak slowly and clearly to leave a detailed message of what help you need and leave your phone number so we can contact you to arrange a time to meet with you.

Closed for Federal Holidays, General Conference weekends (1st weekend of April and October), Thanksgiving week, Christmas 2 week break.

Databases and Software for use at the Lodi FSC

FamilySearch Center Portal provides free public access to premium family history software and websites. Utilize valuable subscription web sites such as Ancestry.com, Fold3, FindMyPast, MyHeritage, Geneanet and others to research your family lines.
AniMap displays and prints changing county and state boundaries over time.
Photoshop Elements can enhance and improve family photos or you may try MyHeritage.com where you can enhance, repair, colorize and animate your photos.
Legacy and RootsMagic are available for recording your family tree. Free versions are available online for your use at home.

Free Special Services

Voice recognition software (Dragon): Transform audio files into typed transcripts. Play the tape or digital recording, and voice recognition software types it out for you.

Hardware and Equipment

Patrons are invited to use our computers, scanner, printers, and copier at no charge for their genealogical research. Twelve work stations are available.
One microfilm reader.

Using the FamilySearch Research Wiki: A comprehensive video presentation explaining the Wiki, navigating it, and some especially useful pages. Case studies demonstrate using the Wiki for genealogical research. Editing and adding articles to the Wiki are covered.
