This article describes the services and resources available at a FamilySearch Center, a branch facility of the FamilySearch Library.

Whether you are just beginning your family tree research or need additional resources, the Atmore Alabama FamilySearch Center is available to serve community members free of charge. The Center is open to the public and all are welcome!

Collections[edit | edit source]

The FamilySearch Catalog is available online, and can be searched by place name, family surname, resource title, author, subject, call number, film number or key word. Click the down arrow at the end of the Search field to select the category of information you wish to search. If you find a film you’d like to view, call or email us to see if we have the microfilm on-site.

Microfilms can no longer be ordered.

All microfilm and microfiche must be viewed at the FamilySearch Center where they are located. They cannot be transferred to another FamilySearch Center facility, or be removed from the center to view at another location.

FamilySearch Center Portal This center has access to the FamilySearch Center Portal page which gives free access in the center to premium family history software and websites that generally charge for subscriptions.

Hardware and Equipment[edit | edit source]

This center has several computers and a printer available to use as well as a microfilm reader.

Escambia County, Alabama courthouse lies just a few miles to the west on US Highway 31 in Brewton, Alabama.
