67240 Oberhoffen-sur-Moder is a commune in the canton of [[Bischwiller (Canton), France|Bischwiller]] in the department of [[Bas-Rhin|Bas-Rhin, France]].

Before 1736 Oberhoffen (in [[Stab Offendorf|''Stab ''Offendorf]]) was in the territory of [[Hanau-Lichtenberg|Hanau-Lichtenberg]].  When that line was extinguished in 1736 it was transferred to [[Hesse Darmstadt (Landgrave)|Hesse-Darmstadt]]. The rights of all nobility over Oberhoffen were abolished by France effective 11 Aug 1789.  This was confirmed by the Peace of Lunéville on 9 February 1801. From 1871 to 1919 Oberhofen was in the German Reich (Oberhofen, Hagenau, Unter=Elsaß, Deutsches Reich).<br>

67240 Oberhoffen-sur-Moder is a commune in the canton of Bischwiller in the department of Bas-Rhin, France.

Before 1736 Oberhoffen (in Stab Offendorf) was in the territory of Hanau-Lichtenberg. When that line was extinguished in 1736 it was transferred to Hesse-Darmstadt. The rights of all nobility over Oberhoffen were abolished by France effective 11 Aug 1789. This was confirmed by the Peace of Lunéville on 9 February 1801. From 1871 to 1919 Oberhofen was in the German Reich (Oberhofen, Hagenau, Unter=Elsaß, Deutsches Reich).

The cemetery in Oberhoffen was near the church, but in 1829 was moved to its present location of approximately 28 Rue du Cimetière (Friedhofstrasse). It was increased in size in 1838.
