11th Infantry Regiment was formed at Lynchburg, Virginia, in June, 1861, and totalled 972 men. They were from Marengo, Greene, Bibb, Washington, Perry, Clarke, Fayette, Pickens, and Tuscaloosa counties. Brief History

11th Infantry Regiment was formed at Lynchburg, Virginia, in June, 1861, and totalled 972 men. They were from Marengo, Greene, Bibb, Washington, Perry, Clarke, Fayette, Pickens, and Tuscaloosa counties. There were 14 officers and 176 men at the surrender on April 9, 1865.[1]
