Brief History
The 7th Regiment, West Virginia Infantry organized at Portland, Jackson County, Cameron, Marshall County, Grafton, Taylor County, Wheeling, Ohio and Marshall Couties, Morgantown, Monongalia County and Greenland, Grant County, West Virginia, July 16 to December 3, 1861. Mustered out July 1, 1865.[1]
