It is possible to learn about genealogy records, and tips on how to find ancestors, by reading articles and taking courses online. Only a few of the instruction and courses are listed below. More sites can be found by doing a Google search for genealogy courses online. Cyndi’s List also lists sites for education.

Some sites, such as Rootsweb, Ancestry and FamilySearch®, have research articles and learning centers embedded as part of their sites.
