Use this record to find the genealogy of many Jews who appear in the records of the countries of Europe. The great advantage of the Knowles Collection is that it links together into family groups, thousands of individual Jews (over 32,000 for this database as of February 2011). Until now, these records were available only at the Family History Library or through individual archives or private individuals.
Among the many sources in this collection are a couple of very unique records.They are:
- The synagogue records of Mattersdorf, Hungary and
- The records of the Ventura family from the Spanish Inquisition.
