The 12th Regiment, Kentucky Infantry Company "A" was organized at Camp Dick Robinson, Kentucky, September 26, 1861, and other companies near Waitsboro, Pulaski County, Kentucky, October, 1861, to January, 1862. The regiment had duty at Greensboro, North Carolina, until July. It mustered out July 11, 1865.[1]
