This is a documentation subpage for Template:User (see that page for the template itself). It contains usage information, categories and other content that is not part of the original template page. |
This template can be used to create links to a userpage, user talkpage and user contributions page.
Users can add this template to the signature field in their preferences (see example documented in Help:Signatures). If this is done the option following the signature box, Treat signature as wikitext (without an automatic link), must be selected.

An optional second parameter can be used to specify a different display name.
