The Featured Article Committee considers the featured article criteria and selects articles that meet that criteria. These articles are then added to the proposed Candidates List (a list of articles under consideration for use as a featured article).
Monday through Friday, the committee attemps to determine any forthcoming days or events of special interest to any place in the world. An article connected to this event can then be added to the Candidates List, eventually leading to placement on the FamilySearch Research Wiki as a featured article. Consideration is also given to how the forthcoming articles will blend together.
