Background[edit | edit source]

An extensive collection of maps is at the University of Hawaii Library. The FamilySearch Library does not have a large map collection for Hawaii. Several historical books on Hawaii contain some individual maps of interest. The best collection presently available is Jessie H. Lindsey, District and County Guide of the Territory of Hawaii (N.p., 1947;FamilySearch Library book 996.9 E5l; film 924462 item 3).

United States Census Bureau State and County Map. This map will allow you to zoom in on any state or county in the United States and read the names of all of the neighboring counties.

Printable maps are also available from the National Atlas of the United States -- https://nationalmap.gov/small_scale/printable.html
