The Gloucestershire Family History Society (GFHS) is a self-help organisation manned by volunteers helping all to research their ancestors and the background against which they led their lives in Gloucestershire and beyond.
The FamilySearch Centre is the hub for Family History Research in Gloucestershire and is based in the grounds of the Gloucestershire Archives. It provides free online research facilities to search amongst other things the entire Census Collection 1841 – 1911, and houses a well stocked library including microfiche records. It is manned by friendly volunteers who will help you research your roots not only in Gloucestershire but anywhere in the UK and beyond.
