The following devices are now available for use by appointment. Please bring your own flash drive with you.

  • Epson FastFoto Scanner - A device to quickly digitize photos. The photos must be "clean" meaning they do not have any adhesive, tape, dust, etc. They should be just as they were when received from the photo developer.
  • Epson V600 Flatbed Scanner for scanning documents, negatives, and photos not scannable with the FastFoto Scanner.
  • Wolverine MovieMaker Pro - A device to convert 8 mm/Super 8 movie reels (up to 9") to a digital format. Please bring an empty reel and be aware that a 9" reel will take 4 1/2 to 5 hours to convert.
  • We now have equipment to digitize VHS, VHS-C, and DVD home movies. Please bring a flash drive (at least 16GB) with you to store your digitized file(s). You will need to stay during the "actual recording time" process.

To request an appointment for any of the above services, please call the center or send an email to boisefamilysearch@gmail.com with the following information:

  • your name
