Wednesday, June 5, 1:00 pm, Jim Banner will be teaching “Preserve Your Audio Memory on FamilySearch.” Jim has been a Stake Family History Consultant and a class instructor for our Center. He has been involved in genealogy for 20+ years, served as a FamilySearch Support Missionary for about 4 years, and he now serves as a Temple and Family History Consultant for the Dry Creek Branch (Orchard View Assisted Living in Payson). Memories are so important in genealogy. The more we know about someone, the closer we feel to them. Memories help us relate to our ancestors in a whole different way that helps us feel like we have actually met them even when we haven’t. | |||
Thursday, June 6, 7:00 pm, Shaunese Luthy will be teaching “Federal & State Censuses Do Work Together.” Shaunese is a certified teacher and has her degree in Family History and Genealogy from Brigham Young University. She runs her own Genealogy business, and we are grateful to have her as one of our regular instructors.Census information and records can be invaluable tools in genealogical research. In addition to basic personal facts, census records include detailed information that can help make connections across generations. | |||
