(dura 1 hora).
Wednesday, June 5, 1:00 pm, Jim Banner will be teaching “Preserve Your Audio Memory on FamilySearch.” Jim has been a Stake Family History Consultant and a class instructor for our Center. He has been involved in genealogy for 20+ years, served as a FamilySearch Support Missionary for about 4 years, and he now serves as a Temple and Family History Consultant for the Dry Creek Branch (Orchard View Assisted Living in Payson). Memories are so important in genealogy. The more we know about someone, the closer we feel to them. Memories help us relate to our ancestors in a whole different way that helps us feel like we have actually met them even when we haven’t.
Thursday, June 6, 7:00 pm, Shaunese Luthy will be teaching “Federal & State Censuses Do Work Together.” Shaunese is a certified teacher and has her degree in Family History and Genealogy from Brigham Young University. She runs her own Genealogy business, and we are grateful to have her as one of our regular instructors.Census information and records can be invaluable tools in genealogical research. In addition to basic personal facts, census records include detailed information that can help make connections across generations.

Tuesday, May 28, 10:30 am, Bob and Kristy Bloomer will be teaching “Researching From Home.” There’s not a better duo than these two in teaching about family history. They have so much experience it would amaze you. From their FamilySearch mission in Peru to serving as missionaries at the Salt Lake FamilySearch Center, they have information at their fingertips they would love to share with you. Come learn valuable facts needed to continue and elevate your family history right from the comforts of your own home. We still would love to see you at the Payson FamilySearch Center whenever possible. However, there are times you need to be home, and what you learn from this class will help you be effective doing family history there as well. Bob and Kristy are Directors of our Center here in Payson.

Thursday, May 30, 7:00 pm, Michael Buck will be teaching “Password Management for the Forgetful.” How do you keep track of your passwords? We all know they’re important. Do you have a method? Do you rely on your memory? From my own personal experience, I know some of my methods have failed me in the past; especially my memory. If you’re like  me, this class is for you. After working 15 years at FamilySearch, I’m assured Michael Buck is the one to set us straight. We all need help managing our passwords so the time saved can be used to concentrate on more important things, like family history.
