The 19th Regiment, Connecticut Infantry was organized at Litchfield, Connecticut and was mustered in July 25 - September 9, 1862. The 19th Regiment, Connecticut Infantry was organized at Litchfield, Connecticut and was mustered in July 25 - September 9, 1862.  This regiment changed to 2nd Regiment, Connecticut Heavy Artillery November 23, 1863.
