In Fryslân (Friesland) the official Frisian language is still spoken and a genealogical periodical 'Ut de Smidte' is publshed in that language. Just recently a new Frisian dictionary - Wurdboek fan de Fryske taal/Woordenboek der Friese taal online (Dictionary of the Frisian language) has been put on the Internet, you can find it: Historische woordenboeken op internet (Historical dictionaries on the Internet)

You can listen and watch in English how this dictionary works on YouTube: Frisian dictionary. Be sure to click on the English flag icon, to hear the instructions in Englsh.
