Class Reminders for the week of October 31st through November 2nd at the Payson FamilySearch Center

We offer a variety of classes each month taught by amazing presenters. There just might be one listed below that you’ve been waiting for. Check it out; there’s no sign-up necessary. If you cannot attend in person, join us on zoom: https://zoom.us/j/95589561172?pwd=ZHVjdC9HZ1d2QUx1TDJtZnpaY0ZkQT09. The FamilySearch Center will be closed the week of Thanksgiving.

Tuesday, November 14th at 10:30 am, Stacy Chapa will be teaching about "Becoming A Family History Youtuber.” Come and learn the fun ways to become a Family History Youtuber.Stacy is a mom and grandmother. She loves to keep in touch with her children and grandchildren. If you want to learn ways to keep in contact with family living far away, this will be a great class.

Wednesday, November 15th at 1:00 pm, Steve Lowry will be teaching about "Temple Reservations and Printing Cards.” If you want to get names for the Temple, this class is for you. Steve has taught many Family History classes at church and over the web and will be able to teach you how to reserve and print cards for the Temple. Steve worked in the computer industry for 46 years and at FamilySearch for 13 years. He loves the opportunity to share his knowledge of FamilySearch and help others.

Thursday, November 16th at 6:00 pm, Eric Anderson will be teaching “How to Find Sources in Family History.” Join this class and learn about all the sources available. Eric has worked for FamilySearch for eight and a half years as a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET). His team has helped build the Relatives at Rootstech, Ordinances Ready, Record Editing features along with several others that nobody ever sees. Currently, his team is in charge of the Sources, Discussions, and Following features, along with several others that are invisible to users. A couple more will soon be released. (Don't ask him about them because he shouldn't give anything away, just pay attention to his screen during the class and you might get a sneak peek!)

Thursday, November 16th at 7:30 pm, Shelly Strand and Shaunese Luthy will be teaching “Locating Church Records.” Learn from the best! Shelly and Shaunese both have degrees in Family History and Genealogy. Find out all you need to know to get started researching church records. After the class, join us in the computer room where individual help is available, either on your own computer or one of ours.

Saturday, November 18th from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm - There is no class scheduled.

Come visit and enjoy the FamilySearch Center; we’d love to see you!
