Tuesday, November 7th at 10:30 am, Kathy Bray will be teaching about "Untangling Relationships & Estimating Vital Information.” You won’t want to miss this class! When something doesn’t feel right in a family relationship, this class will help you research and fix it when necessary. You will also learn when it is appropriate to estimate vital information and how to do so. Kathy has the expertise to help you navigate FamilySearch as she has been serving in Family History Centers for many years. She has served in the Orem Family History Training Center, Spanish Fork Center and here in the Payson Center since 2008.
Wednesday, November 8th at 1:00 pm, Melanie Bronson will be teaching about "Civil War Research.” Melanie has done extensive research on the Civil War and is in the process of writing a book about it. If you have ancestors who have fought in the Civil War, this class is perfect for you. Melanie will help you search your Civil War ancestors and their stories. Melanee and her husband are past directors of the Payson Family Search Center.
Thursday, November 9th at 6:00 pm, Rose Nyman will be teaching “Utah Digital Newspapers Using Newspaper Archives.” Do you realize what you can learn about your family from the newspapers? Articles about your family will give you new insights of what their daily life was like or even photos of what they looked like at that time. This is information you may not be able to find otherwise. Rose loves learning about people and the details of their lives. She is also a photographer and artist.

Tuesday, November 14th at 10:30 am, Stacy Chapa will be teaching about "Becoming A Family History Youtuber.”  Come and learn the fun ways to become a Family History Youtuber.Stacy is a mom and grandmother. She loves to keep in touch with her children and grandchildren. If you want to learn ways to keep in contact with family living far away, this will be a great class.
Wednesday, November 15th at 1:00 pm, Steve Lowry will be teaching about "Temple Reservations and Printing Cards.” If you want to get names for the Temple, this class is for you. Steve has taught many Family History classes at church and over the web and will be able to teach you how to reserve and print cards for the Temple. Steve worked in the computer industry for 46 years and at FamilySearch for 13 years. He loves the opportunity to share his knowledge of FamilySearch and help others.
Thursday, November 16th at 6:00 pm, Eric Anderson will be teaching “How to Find Sources in Family History.” Join this class and learn about all the sources available. Eric has worked for FamilySearch for eight and a half years as a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET). His team has helped build the Relatives at Rootstech, Ordinances Ready, Record Editing features along with several others that nobody ever sees. Currently, his team is in charge of the Sources, Discussions, and Following features, along with several others that are invisible to users. A couple more will soon be released. (Don't ask him about them because he shouldn't give anything away, just pay attention to his screen during the class and you might get a sneak peek!)

Shelly and Shaunese both have degrees in Family History and Genealogy. Find out all you need to know to get started researching church records. After the class, join us in the computer room where individual help is available, either on your own computer or one of ours.

We offer a variety of classes each month taught by amazing presenters. There just might be one listed below that you’ve been waiting for. Check it out; there’s no sign-up necessary.
