  • The Xincas were the first inhabitants of Yupiltepeque.
  • It was stated in the Constitution of the State of Guatemala that Yupiltepeque was to be part of the Mita circuit.
  • It was founded as municipality of the circuit of Mita on August 27, 1836.
  • The municipality of Yupiltepeque has a population of approximately 12,000 people. [1]
