North East Wales Archives[edit | edit source]

North East Wales Archives is a joint service for Denbighshire and Flintshire archives.


North East Wales Archives has two locations.


North East Wales Archives was formed in April 2020, when Denbighshire Archives (Ruthin) and Flintshire Record Office (Hawarden) came together to offer a joint service.

Wrexham Archives hold records relating to the history of the County Borough of Wrexham since its creation in 1996 and also records relating to the area when it was part of the old counties of Denbighshire and Flintshire.

The General Register Office holds a central copy of all birth, marriage, and death registrations in England. These certificates can be ordered from their website (a login is required but it is free to register and search).
