The veterans and recruits transferred to 58th Indiana Infantry September 8, 1864. Organized at Indianapolis, Indiana, September 18, 1861. Veterans and Recruits transferred to 58th Indiana Infantry September 8, 1864. Old members mustered out September 19, 1864.
