The Rhode Island Historical Society's map collection is very extensive. The Family History Library also has a few maps of Rhode Island, including some of the colonial era and early plantations.

- Atlases with Rhode Island maps for the years 1790, 1810, 1823, 1838, 1857, 1862, 1878, 1884, and 1917 are on Family History Library film 002083.
- Other printable maps are also available from the National Atlas of the United States
