Collection Description[edit | edit source]Their genealogy and local history collection is outstanding.[3] It is strongest for Lincoln County, but also includes other areas of Maine, New England, US, Canada, and other countries. They have cemetery records, local ships and shipbuilding, maps, periodicals, scrapbooks, vertical files, some Lincoln County vital records, the Maine 1790 Census, town histories, 257 family histories/genealogies, military records from the Revolutionary War and Civil War, local history researchers' notes, and local history newspaper clippings.
