This regiment (also known as 4th Regiment, Volunteer Missouri Infantry) was organized at St. Louis, Missouri January 15, 1862, by consolidation of the Gasconade Battalion and the 3rd Regiment United States Reserve Corps. It mustered out February 1, 1863. [1]
