Brief History

The 103rd Regiment, New York Infantry, also known as "Seward Infantry", was oganized at New York City from November, 1861, to March, 1862. The duty of this regiment was in the Department of Virginia until December, 1865. They were mustered out at New York City on December 7, 1865 under Colonel William Heine.
