The Layton FamilySearch Center offers a variety of equipment to help with your audio and media needs. You can convert your VHS, audio cassette, or Super8 to digital format. We have four converters for this -- one in the main area, two in the two recording studios, and one in the family room. Feel free to reserve any piece of equipment you may need. You can also capture live video or audio in our two recording studios. Our staff are trained on the equipment, and can assist as needed. Don't forget to bring your flash drive when you come. If you are converting VHS, 8mm or mini-DV, you will need to bring a few DVD-R disks.

<h3> Preparing for your visit </h3>

*Bring a flash drive to put your digital files on after converting them.  If you are converting VHS, 8mm or mini-DV, you will need to bring a few DVD-R disks.

*Bring an external hard drive if you have a lot of film you are converting. The files will be big.
