Purpose

• Add "Find neighboring parishes" section
• Delete new parish tables misplaced on extra-parochial parish pages

Instructions

• We will be updating these sections in a 2 part project:
  

PART 1

Step 1: Add New Section under Resources Heading

1. Open the Task List and place your name next to the parish you want to edit (Column E). Click on the parish page link


2. Click on the Edit Source button next to Resources


3. Copy and paste the following code directly below the heading:



=== Find Neighboring Parishes ===

Use [http://maps.familysearch.org/ England Jurisdictions 1851 Map]
::*Type the name of the parish in the ''search bar''
::*Click on the location ''pin'' on the map
::*Choose ''Options'' from the pop up box
::*Click "List Contiguous Parishes" to find the neighboring parishes<br>



4. Type: Project:Add finding neighboring parishes in the summary box


5. Save the page and move to Step 2

Step 2: Remove New Parish Table

1. Some of the extra-parochial pages accidently had the new parish table were put on there by mistake


2. If there is a new table on the page it will look like the image below




3. If there is a new table on the page it will look like the image below


4. Delete everything between Church Records and Census Records


5. Type: Project:Delete Parish Table in the summary box


6. Save the page


7. On the Task List type Done in Step 1 (Column F)


8. Type Removed or No Table in Step 2 (Column G)
